Education Within Your Reach

At San Jacinto College, we believe that if you want to learn, then you should be able to learn, no matter what. That’s why we encourage students of all ages and backgrounds to apply for financial aid and grants to help make their dreams possible and affordable.

Many grants are available to fund training for eligible individuals taking career certification programs and job-readiness courses.  Our focus is finding funding to help support students interested in obtaining high-quality training and skills to ensure success in today’s workforce.

  • A grant is a type of financial aid you may apply for that does not need to be repaid.
  • The amount of your grant is based on need, cost of attendance and enrollment status. Students must meet eligibility requirements to qualify.
  • A grant can come from multiple sources including federal or state government, or San Jacinto College.

Our grants are designed to develop college and career readiness skills that include language, academic, and workforce instruction.  Funding for our programs is provided by the Houston Galveston Area Council and the Texas Workforce Commission.
