Companies and representatives from colleges, high schools and local agencies gathered recently to discuss ways to recruit more people into the workforce sooner during the first Spring Apprenticeship Forum at the Houston-Galveston Area Council.
Women meet to discuss education and careers in petrochemical
A group of women took to the stage at the recent Date with Destiny conference to empower others seeking careers in petrochemical. For some in the audience, it was their first time to meet women operators.
Thanks to ExxonMobil, $45,000 in scholarships were recently presented to 34 selected students from across the nine community colleges that make up the Texas Gulf Coast Consortium of Community Colleges and the Community College Petrochemical Initiative.
